Thermal baths Yverdon, five senses in architecture
Šešulková, Miroslava ; Uřídilová, Marcela (referee) ; Koleček, Ivan (advisor)
The design of my proposal was deeply influenced by the typical character of spa pavillions in urban recreational parks. Neveertheless i combine such a character with contemporary more conceptual way of architecture. With maybe bigger scale, but having reasons for that. Into the center of park i place a house of baths, where all the activities typical for paths take action - massages, rehabilitation, swimming and wellness. Other parts of the project such as two new proposed buildings for a hotel have the same character of a pavillion in a park. Their interdependant relationships creates new story in a city.

And also to put down several questions regarding to the meaning and functions of ritual, his actuality and necessity or dispensability. Further few questions relating to existence of emotions and problematics of emotional wounds according to traumatic experience. Probe into the soul of a lifetime scout
BROMOVÁ, Zuzana
The thesis gives a perspective on life seen through the Scout's eyes. It deals with the life and the thinking of the people who were or have been active members of this movement. The practical part of the thesis focuses, through eight narrative interviews, on the experience of the Scout movement members and the subjective purpose of their own experience throughout their life. It describes as well what these individuals have found within the movement, what they have identified or conversely disagreed with and what values and approaches they prefer in their lives. The practical part seeks the essence of something that a Scout's soul is comprised of, it means, what makes a Scout a Scout. The analysis of individual interviews exposed several topics and subtopics, where the correlation between them was examined. These topics turned into a syllabus or basis for the theoretical part, where it was described and clarified to the reader with the help of the reference literature.
The Problems of the Soul in the Context of Christianity
KUČERA, Jaroslav
The thesis deals with the emergence of the concept of soul and its anchoring in Christianity. In this context, the theisis indicates the importance of the posthumous surviving element, that is crucial in eschatological expectations. It answers the question of whether the "soul" is a church mechanism to ensure the obedience of believers, as profane society often believes. By describing the eschatological concepts of two Christian wholes, one of which treats the soul differently, the thesis reveals consequences that culminate in a very peculiar interpretation of Scripture. Finally, the thesis shows the "soul" as a theologically necessary category to ensure a cohesive Christian system in the light of biblical statements.
Comparison of Augustin and Thomas Aquinas philosophy and ethics
Havránek, Zdeněk ; Blažková, Miloslava (advisor) ; Hogenová, Anna (referee)
This Thesis deals with the philosophy and ethics of St.Thomas Aquinas and of St. Augustine. At first I characterize the time period then I am focusing on each cathegory concerning moral life of human being in the world such as God, soul, will, goodness, evil and happiness as well. My goal is to show the real purpose of human existence and to show how both philosophers understand individual topics, what is the same and different in their opinion.
